SPANISH TAPAS HORS D’OEUVRES PARTY I
Saturday, July 18    6 PM      $85

Students say this is one of their favorite classes! Introduce your friends to the unique tastes of Spanish hors d’oeuvres popularized by Jaleo and Las Tapas Restaurants. Learn an array of authentic dishes from the famous tapas bars of Spain: Savor Grilled Shrimp, Chorizo in Cognac, Miniature Empanadas, Spicy Spanish Olives, Tiny Meatballs in Saffron Sauce and more. You’ll taste a variety of fine Sherries and beers, the perfect tapas compliment with our Tapas Buffet. Great for buffets, cocktail parties, pot luck parties and casual dinners. Participation.

FAST AND FESTIVE ITALIAN DINNER

Here’s our most popular Italian dinner class. Everyone loves Italian, especially when it’s quick and easy. Dine in Italy with these sumptuous dishes. Serve one or two for a week night dinner or all five for a memorable dinner party: Glazed Jumbo Shrimp with Orange Rosemary Sauce, Linguini in Pistachio Mascarpone Sauce, Luscious Velvet Lemon Chicken Piccata with Capers, Vegetable Sauté of Rapini and Garlic, and Decadent Ice Cream Tartuffo with Warm Chocolate Sauce. SUMMERTIME ASIAN BARBEQUE BUFFET

Students say this is one of their favorite classes.  This sumptuous Asian buffet is designed to be prepared ahead for entertaining ease. Savor: Skewered Sesame Beef with Scallion Flowers, Chinese Tea Smoked Chicken, Popular Skewered Thailand Chicken Sate with Spicy Peanut Sauce, Assorted Oriental Salads, Crispy Shrimp Chips and Homemade Luscious Lime Ice Cream. A fun evening and especially popular with men. Participation.

FABULOUS FAST & FRESH FISH AND SAUCES

Fish is more popular than ever with its exquisite taste, quick prep and health benefits. Enjoying fish twice a week is a healthy choice. You will learn everything you need to know about how to judge the freshness of fish and how to tell when fish is perfectly cooked.  Students learn four easy fish cooking techniques and delectable interchangeable sauces:  Salmon Baked in Parchment with Ginger Lime Beurre Blanc Sauce, Mediterranean Seafood Ragout with Potatoes, Garlic and Fresh Herbs, Elegant Poached Salmon with French Tarragon Sauce Vincent, and much more. Our Roman holiday became an amazing adventure in enchanting new foods and sights: open air markets, speedy Vespas, unctuous rose flavored gelato at Piazza Navonna and earthy pastas at friendly trattorias. Savor these authentic and easy to master Roman specialties tonight for a memorable cucina romana dinner: Heavenly Garlic Soup with Parmigiano Croutons, Pasta Aglio e Olio with Semolina Pasta, Saltimbocca alla Romano (Pan Seared Chicken Scallopini with Prosciutto and Sage), Seasonal Vegetables Sauté, Amazing Amaretto Gelato and Flaming Amaretto. All toasted with Vino Italiano. Have fun preparing a full-course dinner while learning lifetime skills of planning, shopping, using knives and equipment and presentation: Melt-In-Your-Mouth Gruyere Cheese Soufflé, Scaloppini of Salmon with Hazelnuts and Buerre Blanc Sauce, Lemon Zest Rice Pilaf, and Bittersweet Chocolate Mousse with Crème Chantilly Swirls and Chocolate Espresso Beans. Great beers have all the complexity and excitement of fine wines. We’ll taste and cook with a variety of American microbrews and classic European styles creating a multi-course dinner:  Awesome Crispy Beer Batter Shrimp and Colorful Veggies, Dortmunder Pulled Beef with Best-Ever Barbeque Sauce, Rainbow Confetti Coleslaw and To Die For Chocolate Silk Stout Pie with Chantilly Cream and Chocolate Espresso Beans.
